The Kogan Unique Cultural Projects Support Fund is ready to work
The presentation of the newly created Kogan Unique Cultural Projects Support Fund took place on 23/05/2011 in Moscow. The Fund was established by Valeri Saveliev, Chair of the AVS-group Holding Company, and violinist Dmitri Kogan.
On 26/05/2011 the Kogan Unique Cultural Projects Support Fund will have its first public event. Five different antique violins by Stradivari, Guarneri, Amati, Guadagnini and Vuillaume will be brought to Moscow and will become part of Dmitri Kogan’s performance in the Pillar Hall of Unions. Maestro was accompanied by Volga Philharmonic Orchestra.
The Fund’s creator Valeri Saveliev claims that the main objective of this initiative is to keep up the traditions of charity and patronship in Russia. The businessman believes that only common efforts may keep alive the basic society values which affect the future of the country. «The idea of creating the Fund was not spontaneous. For several years I have been buying antique string instruments for talented musicians. Seven instruments have already been lent to the Sverdlovsk State Philharmonic musicians» - said Valeri Saveliev.
Valeri Saveliev has been doing charitable and philanthropic work for more than 10 years. He supports veteran organizations, children ensembles, men’s and women’s sitting volleyball teams. |
